Random Act of Kindness Day is a day to celebrate those little niceties and encourage others to pay those “acts of kindness” forward. Get involved on Friday, November 12, 2010! Here are some stories of kindness that were shared with us: "I am thrilled to share that we have been the recipient of two Random Acts of Kindness. First, we received four absolutely beautiful paintings from Jill Summerhayes. Secondly, we visited Dimplex this morning to see if they would have a fireplace we could buy/borrow for our float in the Santa Claus Parade on Saturday night. When Paula and Rick told us how much they wanted for the fireplace, we were astounded, as it was incredibly affordable. Then Paula said, "Well isn't this Random Act of Kindness Day." Thanks so much to Jill, Paula and Rick. - Pat Singleton, Exective Director, Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank "I am thrilled that my daughter, Maggie, came home from Senior Kindergarten and said she pulled everyone in the wagon outside (instead of taking her usual turn) and then she "wowed" me even more when she said she is going to make "kindness day" every day! - Laura and Maggie I mentioned to a co-worker that a mother at a drop in program needed snowsuits for her triplets. The next thing I know, my co-worker had gone out and purchased three new snowsuits so that the triplets would not be cold! - Adriana We heard that the humane society was in dire need of kitten food, so we purchased four bags and dropped them off. - Judy
